A consultation fee is required to begin the custom commission process. This fee covers our initial conversation about your vision, including design ideas, size, function, materials, glaze and surface options, and the overall scope of the project. It allows me to thoughtfully determine whether your idea is a good fit for my studio and provide an estimate for the work. This consultation could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, is not refundable but is applied toward the final commission cost if you decide to move forward. I prefer to do these in person at the Corgi Clay Art Center in Stafford, VA, however I am also available over Google Meet or Zoom.
